Ellie Jane Goulding is a British citizen born on the 30th of December 1986. Her mother Tracey Goulding Summers worked in the supermarket, while her dad Arthur Goulding was a member of an undertaker's family. Goulding has three siblings: one sister Isabel who is older a brother Alex as well as a sister Jordan. Alex his brother is a bassist as well as a part of an Hereford band. She was encouraged by her mother to pursue a musical education at the age of a small girl. When she was nine years old, she started learning to play the clarinet. Crawford started her modeling career with an agency that was smaller, and was later sold to Elite Model Management.
